How Can I Help?

Each therapist brings a different personality, perspective, background and style to the table. For me, I approach each client as an individual, meaning one technique does not fit all. In fact, only one technique might not fit you the same way each week! Above all else, I utilize a collaborative, goal focused approach, and apply practical solutions to help you reach those goals. My role is to help guide you in developing a deeper understanding of your feelings and work towards applying them in positive actions in your everyday life.

The goal of therapy is not to erase all negative emotions, unpleasant thoughts, or sad memories. All of those are part of being a human. Without those, we wouldn’t be able to relate to others, have empathy, or even truly feel happiness and joy. Rather, the ideal outcome of therapy is to engage in life in a meaningful way and learning how to better manage life’s distressing events.
